Isn't it wonderful that the first nine verses of this Psalm are dedicted to exalting God. It exults His supremacy over all other gods, lords, or any other power systems that we might try to trust in.
It shows God's supremacy as creator of heaven and earth, and all that is in them. Isaiah 45:9 puts this into perspective;
"What sorrow awaits those who argue with their Creator. Does a clay pot argue with its maker? Does the clay dispute with the one who shapes it, saying, 'Stop, you're doing it wrong!' Does the pot exclaim, 'How clumsy can you be?'
On the contrary the psalmist calls us to acknowledge God's supremacy, and give unreserved thanks to Him, for His faithful love endures forever!
